Meaning of Existence{Rai Danith/Ringo Akai(open)}

"I dunno, She's been like that since we got taken out of our father's custody. I don't want to mess up her emotional life even more." Ringo shrugged.

She looked at his drawings. "Hey, I'm not that much better. You just need to learn how to put the details in the right place. It's pretty hard, but I could show you." She put her drawing pad back in her pocket.

The rain was falling harder now. It was starting to sting. Thunder rumbled. Ringo knew lightning would probably come next.

She stood up and blinked the water from her eyes. "I think we should head back." Her hair was stringy from the rain. She glanced over at the rain on top of the waves. It was like the shore was being tucked in at night with the ocean as it's covers.

She loved rain, but just light sprinkles. Not this kind of rain. Then she remembered that Christmas when there was a tornado. Ringo had been about eight, while Sakura was three.

"Daddy, why are we under the basement?" Ringo asked, holding onto Sakura.
"It's a game, Ringo. We'll have Christmas underground." Her father had said, smiling at her.
"But how's Santa gonna get here?" Ringo tilted her head. Sakura began crying.
"Don't you worry, Santa came early this year." Their dad brought out the presents.

Ringo blinked back to reality and sighed. She missed her dad. A lot.

Rai watched her unsure of what was going, but he was going to listen to her, becuase he couldn't just push his way through. "Yea we should do back and see your sister... This isn't going to let up...anytime soon..." Becuase he was the son of poseidon he knew it wasn't about to let up anytime soon, well at least for the most part, so it would be a good thing to go inside. "Who do you guys live with if I may ask?" He wondered about that for awhile, but he had barely thought about if he could ask.

"Well I mean...you'll show me? That would be great..." he was so excited about learning more, that was the just the way he was, he loved to learn.

And learning was all he wanted to do and he wanted to learn with his friends, and she seemed like his friend, but he didn't know if she was, and he was too shy to ask. He had never really understood why he was shy, and also why he had to deal with it, and why Ringo seemed so entertaining to him, he wondered what her sister would be like.

"so what is life like for you? I mean some people are teased here....and well ya know... that doesn't happen to you does it..." he sighed and shivered, the rain was dripping off his skin falling down onto the ground, as he looked up at the sky, wondering why this had come out of nowhere. But then again he had remembered where they were and so he understood why.

"We're year rounders." Ringo replied stiffly. Then she let her teeth go down hard on her lower lip. She didn't like talking about her past. But you don't have to make it so obvious! She scolded herself.

An especially loud clap of thunder made Ringo flinch, along with the thick lightning bolt that flashed in the sky. She took a step back. Her hair was sopping and smooth, but plastered to her face.

Every step she took she heard the crunch of the mussels she was crushing under her feet. She felt bad about killing them, so she was sure to make her steps as light as possible.

Ringo retreated slowly into the little stretch of woods near the beach.

"We're not bothered, but nobody ever talks to us, either. That's the way we minor god kids are treated." Ringo shrugged. The rain had been reduced to a light shower under the leafy canopy of the woods.

She looked at her sketch pad and sighed. Every drawing in it, ruined. "Oh well. I have backup notebooks." She muttered sadly. Then she smiled. "At least I didn't bring the big one! That one has all my drawings since second grade!"

"Well I'm sorry I'll talk to you...it doesn't matter if you are the children of minor gods you matter to..." Rai always had his own side to that which made him seem wierd to the other main gods, but he didnt' care. He would rather be the child of minor god if could but well he couldn't control who his mom fell in love with. He growled but eventually calmed down as he looked at her. She was pretty and he knew that he couldn't deny it. Part of him was wondering why people were so mean to anyone, he knew that everyone mattered, but that was only his view when it came to the big three, none of the others like him cared, they only thought about themselves. "Well at least we aren't completely soaked..." he had to laugh about the way he looked even though he couldn't see very well because of the hair that had fallen into his face because of the rain.

"Wow I really need to cut my hair, don't ya think?" he laughed again becuase he was just that random and he had to do it because that was just how he was. "Don't you just love random?" he asked that question a lot because most of his friends, that he had when he was little were very wierd and very random.

He had grown up around and kinda wondered if she was the same way, but he just liked her for the way she was, and he couldn't believe that his body was reacting in a way it shouldn't, at least his heart was and he had to deal with, and he had to be calm, or something was likely to happen to him.

"Exactly." Ringo huffed. She hated it when people prejuced her.
She looked sideways at him and shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe trim your bangs, though." Yeah, his blonde bangs were pretty long. But she found them kind of cute, despite herself.

Then Ringo smiled and hugged him. Didn't freinds hug? And she figured they were freinds now. She never had a real freind before. All her freinds had faked and deceived her in the end. But somehow she thought Rai was different.

"Are we freinds now, Rai?" She murmured happily. She pulled away, smiling. Her eyes gleamed under her wet hair. It felt nice to embrace him.

Ringo ran her fingers through her hair to straighten the tangled mess her dark locks were in. Soon, her head was sore from all the pulling and separating. But Ringo didn't care that much, for she was happy just standing there forever.

He smiled and looked around, biting his lip. He was happy that she thought alot like him. They were so alike in everyway, and now she was the only one he really thought about it. "Well no one ever trimmed my hair when I was about to leave my house...I had never managed to leave my house..and well my bangs need to be taken care of, but it helps keep the sun out of my eyes..." he laughed hardly to believe he was talking about this, but it made him very happy, and he hugged her back smiling. "yes we are friends now."

"Nothing can ever change that fact...I am your friend...and you are mine...and I will be friends with your sister too...because I really care...and I like her a lot for what I have heard about her..." He was so sure that he wanted to help her out, and take care of her and her sister, but he really wanted to meet them. 'Please let this meeting go well...' He was thinking all of this to himself but he hoped that one time he would be able to tell her since she was the one he was thinking about.
