Rosaleen was a very bored fourteen year old. And, when you're a daughter of Ate that could bring anyone to their ruin and destroy anything you dislike easily, that was not a good feeling. Fortunately for Camp Half-Blood, Rosa has already been warned about breaking things, and people. It didn't mean she wasn't still tempted to do so every five minutes, though. Currently, she had a book she had been assigned to read. It was another spin off of what had happened at Troy. Only, it was told from Cassandea's point of view. Perhaps, if she had not read it before, she would have been more interested in it. Perhaps she would have liked it. Only, there was a problem. She had read it before. Therefore, in her mind, it was utterly useless to read the book again.
She considered finding some doormat of a younger camper and giving the book to them, for a price. But, instead, she calmly placed it down on her bed and walked out of the cabin, not bothering to tell anyone where she was going. In all honesty, Rosaleen didn't even know where she was headed. Although, she had a sneaking suspicion her feet were carrying her off to the Arts and Crafts. She wrinkled her nose at the place. She didn't generally go in there, but that was because she was never much of a creative person, and so she had nothing to do. But, this time, she'd figured she'd go and draw something. Probably something she'd give to her mom later on.
But, there was one problem. She didn't know what to draw. She sighed, in frustration, as she slumped down in one seat. "What would she want, anyway?"

Eurus skimmed the cloud with a bare foot, letting the moisture seep into his skin. He howled, letting the wind steal his voice and carry it away to the ground below. His hair whipped in and out of his vision, following the path of the wind he loved. Euros scattered a bit of bad luck on the mortals in the ocean below him. One ship promptly sunk in a sea-gale blown storm and another crashed into the dock it was supposed to be mooring at. He smiled bitterly, Hades would be happy with him today. The wind picked up and the dark haired wind god sped forward. Maybe he'd... visit Kansas. Euros liked Kansas. He was caught up in the daydream as he overshot, slowing somewhere in the middle of Minnesota and costing over the great lakes to New York. That's right, his brother had told him about some haven in New York. Camp Half Right, maybe. He lowered himself, the wind singing in his ear. And then he hit a tree... and then he hit the ground. With a nice big thump. He skidded, and again he hit. This time, he hit the building, with a somewhat smaller thump. "Ouuuuch," Eurus whimpered, coming to a rest.

Rosaleen’s mouth dropped slightly in shock. She had heard a thump against the side of the Arts and Craft’s building. And, although she wanted to sit there and think about what she was going to draw for her mother, her curiousity got the best of her and she wandered off outside to see what had made that thump. At first, she figured it would be come kind of arrow, or something like that, but, what she saw, completely blew her off track. It wasn’t an arrow. It wasn’t even a ball. It was a guy.
She felt as if she were frozen to the door, her mouth over her mouth. She wanted to make sure that he was okay, yeah. Duh, that was a given. It was never great to be blamed for something that had gone wrong. And, being the daughter of the Goddess who usually didn’t let things go as they should, she was generally blamed for it. That was always loads of fun. Still, she couldn’t move. If she did, she was afraid she’d fall over laughing, because, really. It was funny. How could the guy not have seen the building there? It wasn’t the biggest one there, that was true, but it wasn’t easy to miss, either. She giggled to herself but jumped out of the doorway and moved over to the guy. He didn’t look that old, but, at the same time, he gave that aura off that he had been around for a while. Curious enough. She leaned against the wall he had previously ran into before smirking slightly. The image was still in her head, and it was still funny.
“Hey.” She greeted. The smirk was still apparent on her face. “I just thought I’d warn you that there was this wall right here.” Rosaleen patted the wall with her right hand before pushing herself off of it and extending an arm forward to the guy. “Just kidding. Are you okay, though? It sounded like a nasty thump. No brain damage?” She asked. Although the words had already left her mouth, she wished she could take them back. Had she seriously just asked that? How lame could she get? The guy was going to think she was so pathetic before they’d even introduced themselves. Oh well, it wasn’t like it mattered to her. People generally left her alone after they found out her her mother was anyway. And, if they didn’t, then she persuaded them to. It was always as simple as that.

Euros attempted a smile, it failed and turned into a grimace. He stood shakily, rubbing the growing lump on his head with a morbid fascination. Then he cast his blue eyes at this random girl with an indignant pout. "I saw the wall, the entire building actually. What I didn't see," Euros pointed upward at the giant impossible-to-miss pine tree, "Was that tree up there." The wind god leaned against the wall, trying to make up some face. "And I'm fine, just a little shaken up. Would you by any chance know if this is Camp Half Right? It's where I'm trying to go." Euros yawned, and fiddled idly with his lip piercing. Oh the weird memories that went hand in hand with that piercing. Not good or bad particularly, but it reminded him why he didn't drink any more. The god sighed, and closed his eyes, sinking again to the ground against the wall, promptly giving himself a splinter. Great, more aggravation.

Rosaleen giggled. Her bangs all rushed forward, covering her face. She growled in frustration at this, pulling her hair back with the rubber band she had on her wrist. She really hated it when she was talking and, all of a sudden, her hair would get in her way. It got really annoying really fast. Although, she supposed, it matched her outfit today to leave it black. She was wearing a white sleeveless tank top with a teal green vest over it. She also had on her favorite black capris and her white and black converse on.
“The giant tree that’s impossible to miss right there?” Rosaleen pointed with her free finger. She laughed again. Whoever this guy was, he was amusing as he was funny. And, better than that, he hadn’t asked her who her parent was. That was the most refreshing thing of all. “Wouldn’t it have been better to not run into either things?” She asked, staring at the tree and at the building respectively. Then, when he asked if he was in Camp Half-Blood, she got a weirded out look in her eyes. Didn’t he know that this was Camp Half-Blood? Hadn’t the little welcoming comittee, or even the giant sign that usually greeted the newcomers, given him some key? Besides, he was older than most campers here, wouldn’t he know that this was Camp Half-Blood? “Uhm. Yeah, it is. If you were trying to come here, that obviously means you’re not from around here, right? So, who’re you and where are you from?” She asked, letting her hand drop once he didn’t take it and taking a step back.
But, he didn’t look like a monster, so she didn’t feel any need to pull out her dagger. Actually, now that she thought about it, he didn’t feel human, either. No, he felt like...an immortal. Her eyes widened. She had laughed at an immortal. Oh, she was going to get into so much trouble for this...

Eurus looked up at the tree, a bit embarrassed. "Yep, that's the one. And I didn't mean to run into it, either. It was kinda an accident, I'm not used to trees." Then he noticed she was looking at him like he was an idiot. Okay, maybe he was... sometimes. Only sometimes, Euros thought. His hand went back to the lip ring, fiddling with it nervously. Would she hit him? Too many people had hit him in the years previous, he was well worn to it now so maybe it wouldn't hurt if she did. Instead she answered his question and asked a few of her own. "Uhh...No, I'm not from around here. I'm from an island palace belonging to Aeolus, it's name is Aeolia. My name is Euros. Though, you wouldn't know me, would you? I'm just a minor, never-mentioned god." Stupid Zephyr, he could be blamed for the fact Eurus never had any fame.

Rosaleen giggled and shook her head several times. She had never met someone who had seen a tree, but had run into it anyway. What he said made her cautious, but, when he went on to say he was a minor god, her mouth dropped in horror and her hands flew to cover her mouth. "Oh! That's why you're not used to trees! You're probably used to clouds, aren't you?" She asked, yet at the same time stated. She wasn't sure that her words could have been heard correctly because of the fact that her hand was still covering her mouth, but she hoped that they were. "I'm so sorry I laughed at your expense. I sincerely hope you don't take it as any offense." She fiddled with her fingers. It had taken her a bit, but she had managed to pull her hands away from her mouth.
She gulped and looked down, guiltily. She had made him introduce himself first. And, he had been right when he had said that she wouldn't have known him. She didn't. Then again, she rarely paid any attention to any other God or Goddess other than her mother. Sure, she knew Zeus, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, as well as the rest on the Pantheon, but that was because she was afraid of what they'd do to her if she didn't bother to remember them. But, as far as the minor gods went, she didn't pay any attention to anyone..."No, you're right. But, please, don't feel bad. I don't generally pay attention to anyone...Uhm. My names Rosaleen Heart, daughter of Ate.”[/color]

Euros fidgeted nervously, embarrassed as she laughed at him. He ran a hand through his dark hair with a lightly shaking hand. She did think he was pathetic. Maybe she'd hate him like his brothers. When she commented on the clouds a true smile burst across his face. "Oh, yes clouds. They're amazing, much better than these trees. So perfectly awesome. Soft and open and cool." He couldn't help but go misty-eyed with happy reverie. He ignored her comment on laughing at him, he was more than used to it. Stupid brothers again could be blamed for that. "Okay, so you didn't know me... no surprise. What if I proved to you that I'm worth remembering? How 'bout you come flying with me?" A mischievous glint lit in Euros' eyes. He could prove to this girl he wasn't pathetic, wasn't some little pet birdy. He could prove that he didn't deserve the title minor god.

Rosaleen blinked and took a step back, frowning slightly. She didn't mean for him to answer her, but that's not what had seriously bugged her and made her step back. He had been nervous around her. She had never had anyone been nervous around her. And, she had to admit, it felt weird. It was almost like she had power. But, she knew that was wrong. He was a God. Even though he was just a minor God, that didn't mean she had any right to even consider disrespecting him. Even though her father taught her to tease other people and to prank them and things of such, he had taught her to respect them as well. It was her that figured out that it was best to respect the Gods. If she didn't, well, she was afraid to know what would happen then. So, when he got nervous because she had been laughing, she had panicked and took a step back. But, sooner than that, he was off talking about how the clouds were better than trees. She had never been through clouds or through trees, but she had to agree. If you went through clouds, you weren't likely to get a bruise on you're forehead or any part of your body. The clothes were likely to get wet, but that was about it. "You really like it up there, don't you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
When he ignored her apology, she frowned and took yet another step backwards, her arm going up to go cover her other arm. She looked down, but kept listening, just in case. She snapped her head up and let her mouth drop. She had never been flying before. She was afraid of what Zeus would do to her. Her mother wasn't his favorite child, ever. Especially when she had robbed Heracules of his intended destiny. She had been cast off and chased after ever since. Rosaleen had been afraid to go up ever since just in case either of them were still mad. They could never catch her mother, but they could easily catch her better. She refused to go up in the sky. "I'm sorry, Euros. I can't. I'd like to be able to go up sometime in my life, but not now." she shook her head. She wrung her arms together and looked down. "I'm sorry that I, uh, declined your offer..."

Euros couldn't decide if the girl was scared of him, or just uncomfortable. At least she was being relatively respectful, when she declined his offer to fly, he had to think for a moment. Right, Zeus. Stupid sky king, the rebel wind was not going to roll over for him. "You're scared of Zeus, what he might do to you? Well, I'm the wind, and I've got Aeolus backing me. There's no way Zeus is gonna bother me. And I've got Nyx as well, as a grandmother. Zeus quakes in fear of her. I think you'll be fine. And I insist, you're not going to let a god down, are you? Plus, it'll be fun." The light returned to Eurus' eyes, his hair started blowing in an unseen eastward wind. Yes, he'd have fun here, lots of fun.

She stared at him for a few seconds. How did he know that she was afraid of Zeus? Well, of course. He was a God. Then again, she was also making it somewhat obvious. She gulped and looked down. She raised her hand to pull on her ponytail. She didn't like for people to know she was afraid. It made her seem as if she were weak, and she wasn't. Put her in the arena with a monster, and she'd take it down singlehandedly. "Ah. Who told you that?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and giving him a look.
"My mom's the one who's afraid of Zeus, not me." She added, stiffly. She looked down while he was trying to reassure her that nothing was gonna go wrong. That was always the warning sign that something was gonna go wrong. But, then again, who was she to question the will of the Gods? She was just a lowly little Demigod. It was far be it from her to deny him when he could kill her. "Too bad you have nothing of my mother in you." Rosaleen said, smirking slightly. "If you did, you probably would have convinced me right then and there to take your reckless offer." She shook her had before sighing. She knew she couldn't turn him down. That didn't mean she wanted to go, but she would be an idiot to turn down a god. "Fine. I guess I'll go. I don't want to face your wrath. But, I'm not afraid of Zeus." She stayed with some of her power behind it.

"I don't have much of a wrath. But, at least you agreed," Euros muttered. Then he howled the low haunting howl of the wind, calling for it as he grabbed Rosaleen's wrist. The air around them picked up, tossing them forward, and up. Z An eagle kept pace with them as the ascended like some weirdly deformed bird on an updraft. Euros knew what eagles meant. "If you are some lowly messenger of Zeus, give him this message; 'refrain from harming the girl, as it is my power that brings us so high. Oh, and go bother Zephyr, he's been mocking you behind your back.' That's all, leave now, bird," the dark haired god ordered. The bird turned away, half dejected, at the order, and shot into the bluest depths of the sky. Euros watched it, his eyes matching perfectly the hue of the world around them as they ascended through the clouds. The winds instantly whipped the moisture away, drying and warming the two fliers. "Hey, I'm gonna land us on a cloud, but be careful not to let go of me. Clouds don't like mortals and won't stay solid for you." Eurus' winds let them drop comfortably onto the cloud bank, the cloud vapor seemed to have gone warm and solid, welcoming the god.

She laughed slightly, thinking he was kidding, before shrugging. She was surprised that she had even heard him, but it didn’t really matter as that feeling was quickly surpressed by the fact that she would be going flying. It wasn’t even to where she would feel safe surrounded by mortals that Zeus would be unwilling to kill, but it would be with another God. Granted, Euros had said that Zeus wouldn’t mess with him because of his Grandmother, Nyx. That was all fine and dandy for him, but she wouldn’t have that pleasure. Rosaleen could bet that, as soon as her feet had left the airs and were touching the ground again, she’d be sent to Hades on the spot. She liked being alive. It didn’t necessarily mean that she liked her life that way it was, but it did mean that she would put up with it. But, once Euros grabbed her wrist, a frown formed over her face. “What the hec-” she was cut off by a gust of wind that had picked them up.
They had been quickly followed by an eagle. It had been decending on them, but her mind was too preoccupied at the moment. She felt a sense of freedom being up in the air, even if her hand seemed attatched to his. She felt the freedom, but that didn’t mean that she liked the feeling that she was going to fall. Looking down at everything, it felt strangely empowering. That soon ended whenever she heard Euros talk to the bird. He had called her ‘girl.’ Sure, given the great experience as she had, she normally wouldn’t have minded. But, this was Zeus’ bird. It would be relaying this message back to him. She didn’t want to be known as the girl, or the daughter of Ate. She had a name, and she was proud of it. “I have a name you know.” She said sarcastically, unable to take her eyes off the ground. She was petrified, that was true, but that didn’t mean she was going to stop being herself. It wasn’t fair that he introduce her like that, especially since she had already told him her name. What? Was her name unworthy of being mentioned to the great God? She shook her head, inwardly, as they started going higher. Everything that had previously been in her mind suddenly shifted away. This was...amazing. She figured her clothes would be soaking from the moisture of the clouds, but, as soon as a part of her felt cold, it instantly dried because of the wind, warming her up.
But that, too, was soon thrown out of her mind. Was he insane? If they were to land on a cloud, of course she would let go of him so that she would better be able to enjoy the view herself. And, if she did, she was sure to die. It wasn’t fair of him to do that, but she didn’t open her mouth, this time, to complain. No, in her eyes, it was best to be quiet and take this all in. “This must be nice for you.” She commented quietly, poking at the cloud with the tip of her shoe. It didn’t sink through, much to her delight. “You get to spend all your days for the rest of eternity walking up here like nothing else.”

"The idiot bird wouldn't have understood that you were anything but 'the girl,' if I said Rosaleen, it would have been very confused." Euros yawned, laying back on the cloud, but making sure to keep a hand touching the girl's ankle. Soft skin he noticed, he half envied her for that. His own skin was dry and windswept. His hair too, he couldn't ever find a way to make it stay in place right. Eurus wasn't generally very concerned about appearances, but mortals tended to bring out his fussy side, so around them, he often was. The wind god wondered, then, why the hell he chose to hang out with the lowly life forms. Ah, he didn't make sense to even himself these days... maybe he should get more sleep or something. But Euros hated sleep, so that probably wouldn't have helped. Maybe he needed a dog.
