Aradia looked with concern as her friend was obviously in pain. She winced when he mumbled 'ow' and subconsciously put a hand out to his forehead check his temperature. Which was normal. She was just being paranoid. The only trait of hers that her father hated, oh well, hopefully Dustin wouldn't hate it as well. Her cheeks flamed when he threw her question back at her. "Umm... no, not really. I worked fairs and shared a tent with my dad, so there was really no time for me to squeeze in romance, if even friendship. And I was a bit scared of boys except this one I knew way back when but... he died, and that was my fault but I'm working hard to be strong enough to defend my new friends so I'll never lose someone like that again. Oh, my, I'm rambling. Sorry... ummm next question, how old are you?"

He felt a bit wierd when she touched his forehead since his mother had never done that to him, but he barely cared anymore because he was happy that someone cared about him. "Hm how old am I...15...and you?" he laughed feeling a bit wierd talking about this, but it did get his mind of the pain he was feeling, his stomach was aching and he was coughing a bit, because of how he felt, but it seemed her medicine was taking affect. At least it wasn't poison and that was all he could hope for because if it was poison he knew what would have happened and he didn't want her feeling bad for it. He knew she just wanted to help him but part of him wanted to say that well ya know they were worrying about the many things and plus part of him was really falling for who she was, and he was glad to have her as a friend. " I am glad we are having this talk...it makes me feel more like I really know you..." He was happy and what not that they were getting to know each other and he was the one who had came out here even if he didn't want to because of how he was feeling this morning.

"Ah, fifteen as well. Though I suppose neither of us look it, do we?" Aradia stretched out on the grass next to Dustin. She was becoming more and more happy at this camp, more than any other place she'd been besides the fairs. "Yeah, me too. It's kind of sad, but you've got to be the best friend I've had in years. Well, probably because I haven't had many friends. But you'd still be the best if I knew more people." Aradia liked complimenting people, it made both involved parties feel happy and Aradia rather liked happiness. She wasn't a shoot-you-down kind of friend, but a grin and laugh at you when you fall, then help you back up again kind of friend. But then, she laughed at herself much the same way. So she treated others about the way she treated herself. Aradia laughed at the thought. "What's your favorite place to be?" Her question wasn't well thought out, but she liked how it had come out, so she didn't take it back.

Dustin was thinking about something in his past, and when he heard her speak it took him a few moments to get his mind back on track. He had many favorite places to be but it was kinda hard to pick, and plus most of them were outside. He loved being outside, he never bothered to sit indoors. He could barely sit still when he was indoors, but when he was outside he was actually able to do such a thing. "I like being outside...a lot...ya know..." he laughed for the most part and pulled his knees to his chest, laying his head on his knees. "My sister used to play with me..but yea something happened..."He didn't like to bring that up, so he kinda just stopped talking looking down as he felt a certain feeling of fear and a bit of a feeling of being watched.
"What do you like do?" He really wanted to know what she looked for in boys but he wasn't about to ask that.

Aradia let the sleeping sister dog lie, she didn't want to rub him the wrong way. She in no way expected him to tell he anything, nor did she mind. As long as they could be close like this it was alright. She sat up, picking up her belt. "I like mixing poisons, and doing art. But I can't do art very well anymore because of my hand... uhh... I like helping people and making friends and doing favors. I like selling things and putting on shows and horseback riding. And I like games too." Aradia smiled, noticing how expressive she was being with her hands. She yawned, stretching and laughing a tiny bit again. "What is the thing you most like in the entire world?" A simple question, Aradia knew, but her answer to this question when her and her father had played the same game was vast. Her answer had been life, and his was chivalry. Simple question, amazing answers. Go figure.

He wondered about what was going on, and plus he knew that he was not good at lying and she had seen through his sister thing. " Well um I was always climbing trees, but I was never really doing anything else..." He wanted her to know what had happened to him, plus his stomach hurt still and he was happy that it had gone away for the most part thanks to what she had done, but it probably didn't go away the rest of the way and he had to deal with that. "Hm so do you make medicine all the time? And do you just make poisons?" For the most part he was wondering if she could make his little sister better, and she had made sure for him as well, and he was beginning to shiver as he put his jacket on. It wasn't cold but he felt cold and couldn't bring the warmth to him, and it wasn't even could, but this was what happened when he worked to hard and didn't sleep or whatever, but he was tired so he had stopped caring now,and he was to concerned with talking to her.
He moved his shoulder a certain way, hissing as the shirt tore at the skin. His wound had been hurting more, maybe he should have gotten it reated, but he hadn't thought about it. He was so tired that day, that he had just gone to sleep and treated it himself the next day so no one really cared about it, and also no one really knew.

"Technically," Aradia pointed out, "Anything is poisonous in the right dose. Though I suppose I mostly just work with what normal people would consider poisons. I accidentally make medicine sometimes though, so I keep it around when I do make it, just in case." Aradia noticed his pain. "Hey, are you okay? Did you hurt yourself or something?" She moved closer, her shoulder brushing his, trying to figure out what was hurting him. She had absolutely no idea, so she waited for his response. A tiny pain flamed in her left foot, but she ignored it, thinking it was most likely a pine needle or something. She wouldn't until later regret that mistake. However, at the current point in time, Aradia's amber eyes were for her friend and only him. You could have called this selfless, she would have responded that it was just friendly measures.

He hissed when her shoulder rubbed against his. He didn't pull away hoping she hadn't noticed. He didnt' need anyone to worry about him. "It's nothing I'll be fine..." he wondered what was going on with her she seemed to be acting a bit wierd, and he was worried about her. She was acting like herself somewhat but he was still really worried about her. "Are you okay?" he asked, knowing that the both of them didn't think about themselves, more of they were always concerned about each other. He knew that his shoulder would heal, but he had to think about that and her, but he only really wanted to think about one thing, and he knew that was what had had to do. "So are you sure you are okay?" he sighed and bit his lip, moving closer to her putting his hand on her arm, not wanting to scare her, but he wanted to make sure that she was okay.
He was way concerned which wasn't like him, half the time he didnt' think about girls the way he was thinking about her, most of the time he just asked if they were okay and did there best to take care of them.

"Oh, I just stepped on a pine needle, I think." Aradia attempted to laugh the pain off, "You've injured your shoulder haven't you?" Aradia wasn't all that worried about herself, she usually was. However, Dustin brought out a bit of that overprotective instinct she'd learned helping the renaissance festival knights. It was that need for a master, perhaps, that brought her the wanting to be close to the boy. Or perhaps it was that strange feeling, or maybe just that she was lonely. Aradia wondered if she had anything for a wound in the bag on her belt. She might as well check. Aradia turned and immediately wished she hadn't. She winced at the tiny puddle of blood growing around her foot. "Damn," the amber-eyed girl swore under her breath. She quite carefully removed the remnants of the glass vial from under her foot. looking innocently at where she'd gotten glass embedded in her skin. Then it occurred to her, what vial had she smashed? The redhead searched around fruitlessly for the cap. Then she sighed, and just hoped it was one of the more minor poisons she kept around and wouldn't need an antidote.

Dustin looked down at the blood, then up at her. His injury faded from his mind as he leaned down looking at her foot. "Ouch...um...we should get yours taken care of..." he wanted to do this himself, and he knew he could, but that was not up to him, and plus she was the maker of poisons who knew what this one could be and he had to act fast, but he didnt' want to have her get mad cause he was trying to help. 'Mine can wait...hers is more important...' He was telling himself that ignoring the pain in his arm as he looked at the bottle, then to the glass in her foot. He couldn't have her like that if he was going to take the glass out. "We should get you taken care of and now would probably be good thing..." he covered his nose, hating the smell that was rising off the ground.
"Ew what was in that thing?" He knew she probably didn't know from the look on her face, and he knew that he had to do something, but he was doing his best to think, because she was probably to say his was more important whne he knew that it wasn't and he had to act. 'What to do...stopping the bleeding would be smart but we don't know what was in the vial, we might want to just see if it would run out, but we can't let her bleed to death...' He was shivering at the sight of the blood, he had seen a lot of blood, but he had not expected to see her get hurt, he hated this people always seemed to get around him and he never knew what to do. He calmed down and thought back to what his father had taught him to do, but he hoped he really wouldn't mess this up, it wasn't that he was freaking out because he wasn't, he just was trying to get his brain to work in the way he had been taught as a kid.

"Look, I have really bad eyesight. Could you help me find the cap of that vial? If I know what it was, I'll know what to--" Aradia cut herself off with a gasp as her hand rested on the little circle. She picked it up with a growing sense of dread as she read off the cap, C18. "I worked so hard on that one. Damn." No, Aradia wasn't worried about herself, but the fact she'd put a lot of effort into recreating the poison she'd just accidentally injected herself with. No, Aradia wasn't acting like she was worried about the fact she'd just smashed a bottle of Compound Ten-Eighty. Not worried about the fact she'd just screwed herself. Nope, she was just hoping Dustin didn't know what Compound Ten-Eighty was. Why would he? It was banned years ago, for the fact it had no antidote, less than a gram could kill someone, and it was chemically stable. No, she just hoped she wasn't worrying him to much. Such was her nature.

Dustin looked at the lid, his eyes widened, he had only learned so much about things and he got the feeling that was not a good thing. "Um we really need to do something that, or let me guess there is nothing we go..." he didn't want to believe that, his heart was aching again, and he didnt' want to believe that. He wanted to help her no matter what he had to do, he would go to the ends of the earth and further to make sure she was okay, it was his nature and who he was. Nothing could change that, but she was also scaring him. "Come on I just became your friend..." he sighed and looked down at his hand, the lines his nails had made in his palm meant nothing to him right now, she was the only one who mattered to him, and he didn't want to lose her now.
'Father why does this always happen? Everytime i meet someone this is what happens to them. Why? you said this would stop and you are a liar...' If anything really happened here, he would his father down and beat him to pulp, and maybe even go all the way to get her back too, that was just who he was.

Aradia's heart wrenched as she saw that the blonde boy was worrying."Uhh, I'll be fine, see, I have an antidote. I'm just bummed I broke that one. It was a bunch of rare ingredients." She couldn't help but lie, she didn't want to see him like that. Aradia found a painkiller filled vial on her belt and quickly uncapped it and swigged a tiny bit of the light blue fluid. That was when the pain started though, and the painkiller had a delay of five minutes. The only way she showed her pain, though, was a slight twitching of her lip as she found some bandages in her pack and placed them on her foot, attempting to stop the blood. Alamo clucked woriedly around his mistress, who was rather pissy at the moment about breaking one of her best poisons. Damn.

Part of him felt like she still wasn't telling him the truth which in a way hurt him, but then again he was telling all the truth either, but he couldn't bare to think that his friend would be gone again after all he had tried to do. 'Come on father....' He groaned and looked at her, looking into her eyes as if he wanted to pull the truth out of her but he knew that he wasn't supposed to do that, since he was her friend and he had to care for her and that was what he was supposed to be. "Come on why are you doing this? There is no way....is there...." He knew that she had taken something but he still felt like she was lying and wasn't telling him the truth so he had to ask.
He really didnt' want to lose his friend, and also he felt like she was more than a friend to him, and he couldn't bear to lose her like this at all. He put his hand on her cheek looking into her eyes again, but this time with care and concern, and his mind was saying over and over again that he had to help her, but how was he supposed to do that.

Aradia winced slightly as the painkillers started to take effect, clashing horribly with the pain itself. "Erm...no. Not that has been discovered by mortals, and I'm not good with immortal antidotes and poisons so I don't keep them around or know much about them." Aradia didn't lie. She didn't really have the energy or will to do so. Her lips tightened as the pain and drug warred. Ultimately, the drug just floated around, half dulling the pain, as the pain rampaged triumphantly. It would be an hour or two, she knew, for the dose she might have accidentally given herself. Aradia sighed, she was such an idiot. Alamo hopped over, sensing her pain, and laid down next to her as to better look her in the eye. Aradia smiled at the black rooster. A black rooster, in Norse mythology, was the gatekeeper to Hel's domain and the afterlife. Hah. The irony.
